Good ventilation conditions are required around the storage tank. This is to prevent the accumulation of flammable gas generated by diesel evaporation and avoid explosion or fire hazards. The ventilation system should be able to effectively discharge the volatile oil and gas to a safe area.

Fire and explosion prevention measures

The storage tank area should be away from fire sources, heat sources and flammable materials. Safety inspection

Regularly inspect the appearance of the storage tank to check whether the tank body is deformed, corroded, leaked, etc. Check whether the pipe connection parts are firm and whether the valves are working properly. For underground storage tanks, it is also necessary to regularly test the effectiveness of their anti-leakage system.

Liquid level monitoring

Reliable liquid level monitoring devices such as liquid level gauges should be installed. This helps to accurately grasp the storage volume of diesel in the tank, prevent diesel from overflowing or affecting the operation of equipment (such as diesel generators and other equipment) due to low liquid level. The liquid level monitoring system can be mechanical or electronic. The electronic liquid level gauge can realize remote monitoring and alarm functions.

Maintenance cycle

Generally speaking, a comprehensive maintenance inspection should be carried out at least once a year. This includes anti-corrosion treatment inspection of the tank body, replacement of aging seals, cleaning of filters and other operations. If problems are found during the inspection, they should be repaired or handled in time to ensure the safety and normal operation of the storage tank.
